Well, I have my doubts, but it's entertaining! (Mostly because I like criticising people's scientific method. What was their sample size! What is their criteria for judging mood? Have they done any correlation between people's stated location and local stockmarkets or is it more global than that? If they've formed a hypothesis, where's their test? Maybe they could get a celebrity to tweet something that fits their "mood-altering" criteria and then see if it goes viral and has any effect!
