Is this for timezone purposes or currency purposes? I find timezone is less important than having dollars default to GBP or whatever.

It says "locational purposes?" Second page. I just used the form, lemme know if I screwed up. (Posting new comment with buy info.)

(Wait, I just realised markets are *closed* and hence deleted the comment. I am sorry I am bring such an idiot. So I *will be* posting a new comment tomorrow when markets are open.)

Psst! Cosalt shares are like 4.5p not £4.50. You can buy lots! (I've also been thinking of buying some Cosalt because hey, I've heard of them (they make lifejackets. and ... stuff.))

Also, not having heard anything to the contrary, I have been merrily buying stuff at all hours.

You might not believe this, but I had figured out, and made note of, where the decimal point gets put, and it was part of why I thought hey, sink a few quid in this... and then my brain fritzed. Ayiyi.

Okay, I think I feel brave enough to try and correct that now. Thank you for being encouraging.

(They also make rope! Rope is useful stuff!)

The markets being closed is NO PROBLEM. You just buy at the last recorded price. What happens in real life if you do that is the transactions are processed as soon as the market opens, before the price changes.

Thank you! I just -- had a sudden and total conviction that everything I could have done wrong, I had! And possibly invented new and different ways to be wrong! Sigh.

Hopefully I have now exhausted my quota of falling on my face where people can see me, and you have to deal with it. *wry g*
